Royal Academy America

The Royal Academy is a globally recognized institution. Royal Academy America, their organization for American supporters, not only allows its members exclusive access to events and trips, but also gives valuable support back to the Royal Academy itself.

In September 2017, Royal Academy America returned to the IAC Building to host their 2017 Autumn Gala. The evening honored Marina Abramović Hon RA, Thomas Heatherwick RA, and Aryeh Bourkoff. The Gala was sponsored by Moët Hennessy USA for the third year in a row. Guests enjoyed a lively cocktail hour with several interactive installations, including a virtual reality video of Abramović's Rising and Heatherwick’s Magis Spun Chairs. During dinner, guests were charmed by emcee Stephen Fry.

In November 2016, Royal Academy America hosted their 2016 Gala at the landmark Hearst Tower honoring designer of the Hearst Tower, Lord Norman Foster, Jenny Holzer, and Andrew & Paula Liveris. Both Galas, in 2015 and 2016 were sponsored by Moët Hennessy USA.

In November 2015, Royal Academy America hosted their Gala, An RAted Evening at the IAC Building in West Chelsea. The event honored Gavin Patterson, Cornelia Parker OBE RA, Jeff Koons Hon RA and Usher Raymond IV and featured an architecturally inspired dinner by Creative Edge Parties.
